2018: STUDY OF GALOHGOR NUTRACETIC EFICATION FOR IMPROVEMENT OF ASSUMED PRODUCTION IN POSTPARTUM MOTHER (The Efficacy Study of Galohgor Nutraceutical to Increase Breast Milk Production of Postpartum Mothers) # SDGsIPB3 # SDGsIPB5

Galohgor Nutrition is a traditional herbal medicine for increasing milk production that has been used for generations by Sundanese people. Since 2002 ethnopharmacological research has been carried out, phytochemical and nutrient content analysis, toxicity testing, optimization of extraction processes, efficacy tests and mechanism of galohgor nutrasetic effects in-vivo and in-vitro. This study aims to assess the efficacy of galohgor cookies on the production of breast milk (ASI) in postpartum mothers. This study uses a randomized controlled trial (RCT) research design with a two-group post-test design. A total of 20 postpartum mothers were divided into 2 groups, namely the intervention group (n = 9) who were given galohgor cookies and the control group (n = 11) who were given cookies that did not contain galohgor. The dose of galohgor cookies is 4 pieces of cookies per day; which contains 4 grams of galohgor powder which is given for 14 days. Measurement of breast milk production is carried out by weighing methods using a digital baby scale (SECA 334 Digital baby scale), breast milk pump and maternal perceptions related to the adequacy of breast milk. Data were analyzed using independent t-test and ANCOVA. Galohgor cookie interventions in breastfeeding mothers influence significantly higher milk production (p <0.05), which is 564.22 ± 163.47 ml/day in the intervention group, compared to controls (430.01 ± 135.67 ml/day).
